Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love.
The only cure for grief is to grieve.
It is important to take time out for yourself in order to avoid that feeling of overwhelming stress and anxiety.
JD Counselling, are professional counsellors who are here to help you with the journey through the Grief and Loss of a loved one. Grief is a difficult journey and you don't need to go through this alone.
The loss of a loved one is so very hard and we are here to listen to your story and help walk beside you on the journey through the Grief and Loss process.
We offer a Professional Counselling service to help you with the journey of life including Grief and Loss, Stress and Anxiety Management, Mental Health, Couples Therapy, Anger Management and Mediation.
My Story
Professional Counsellor helping with Grief and Loss
My name is Jason Dingli and I am the Director of JD Counselling.
I am a father of two young boys, two adult Daughters and now have my first gorgeous Granddaughter.
Recently I have worked for the past 11 years with the Make A Wish Foundation as a Wish Coordinator and I am a registered member of The Australian Counselling Association.
In 2015 I went through the traumatic event of losing my beautiful wife and soulmate to Breast Cancer and in 2011 I lost my amazing Mother unexpectedly.
Through the grieving process I found it very hard to find that someone who could understand what I was going through and who would listen to my story and not try and "fix me" or tell me how I should grieve.
Grieving is very different for every person and sometimes it is nice to talk to that someone who has the lived experienced of grief and loss and come out the other side.
As a man we are expected by society to be strong, cope and move on but men need to grieve too.
So after going through this process and finding how hard it is for women, kids and men especially, to find specific help for them I decided to become a qualified Counsellor and help others similar to me. I want my clients to be able to express their grief with some one who understands and can share with them the journey of the loss of a loved one.
Grief is not something you can just get over its something that will always be with you but you will learn to accept it, embrace it and cope better as time goes by.
